Pole Checkout Policy

Many of the high schools are often under equipped when it comes to pole vault. Here at Noco Pole Vault we want to help enable members with the right poles to maintain quality practices and progression in the vault.

  1. All poles that belong to Northern Colorado Pole Vault are only to be used by NOCOPVA members and NOCOPVA coaches only. Poles that are lended out will only be shared with NOCOPVA members, and the vaulter who has checked out the pole will assume full responsibility to take care of the pole.

    - 1 pole/meet monthly

    - 2 poles/meet seasonal

  1. In order to check out a club pole, you must be in good standings with NOCOPVA. This means you must be current on your USATF membership and affiliation, paid the seasonal/monthly membership club fee, and are current with attendance towards practices. You must also have a current club liability waiver signed. We do not have enough poles to go around right now. Priority will be given to members as followed

    - Current in club dues and practices

    - individual lessons

    - Meets attended over the course of the year

    - Membership status

    - Program needs

    - Total practices attended over the course of the year

Encourage your school programs to assist in your growth. We are a certified sales representative for UST-ESSX vaulting poles.

  1. Poles will only be checked out after a club scheduled practice for meets only. Poles can also be checked to members for a 7 day period after an individual lesson. Poles that are checked out will be issued a checkout date and return date on the pole submission form. Poles have to be officially handed out by a coach and recorded on the pole submission form. If a pole is taken without that consent, you will lose your privilege to check out poles.

  1. Poles must be returned at the beginning of every club scheduled practice. No exceptions. We need every pole back to practice to take care of everyone who will be in attendance during our club practices. IF POLES ARE NOT RETURNED BY THE START OF PRACTICE, A LATE FEE OF $75 PER POLE A DAY WILL BE INVOICED TO YOU. MEMBERS WILL LOSE THE ABILITY TO CHECK OUT POLES FOR MEETS UNTIL LATE FEE IS PAID.

  1. Members who check out poles take full responsibility for the poles they are in possession of. That means taking responsibility for keeping the pole safe, or for any damages inflicted on the pole/replacement if broken or severely damaged. Poles that are lended out will only be shared with NOCOPVA members, and the vaulter who has checked out the pole will assume full responsibility to take care of the pole. Violation of this rule will take your privilege away to check out poles. We do not rent poles, but if non members ask, please encourage them to talk to a coach on becoming a member, or if they are interested in buying their own pole. Poles can only be transported if you make an effort to protect them in a bag or by covering them the best that you can. If a pole is missing a clear cap label cover, needs a new pole tip, or incurs damage, let a coach know immediately.

  1. Coaches at NOCOPVA have the final say on who gets the poles and how they are delegated to members. Poles, in special situations can be used by non members at the discretion of a NOCOPVA coach. A coach must be present in those situations

e.g)- a non member at a meet needing coaching assistance or a pole who has never been informed of/been to NOCOPVA

-NOCOPVA Coaches taking poles to cover needs in their program if the poles aren't checked out to club members already.

  1. Do not share the club poles at your high school practices, unless it is shared with another member of NOCOPVA. Again, you are responsible for the poles that you check out. At NOCOPVA, we want to reserve the privilege for our club members who are invested into what we do at the club. We also want everyone who uses our equipment to be instructed properly to minimize damage and injuries inflicted to the equipment and to the vaulter. Violation of this rule will result in the loss of your eligibility to use poles outside of our club setting.
